HorrorGirl Happenings March 11th-17th

The most exciting things happening in horror this week (according to one very specific HorrorGirl):

Roxanne Benjamin has finished the script for the Night of the Comet remake. If you haven’t seen the original please watch it immediately. Seeing as she’s a major fan of the original, I’m actually pretty excited to see what she did with the story in the new adaptation.

It’s Horror hound weekend, 15-17th in Cincinnati! The biggest horror convention in the Midwest is celebrating its tenth year. Thursday morning I boarded a plane bound for Ohio, but I’ll be missing out on the festivities. I did however run into Matt from Rock Rebel on his way to horror hound, and as luck would have it… these two monster kids were both seated in row lucky number 13. Some of the biggest names in horror will be in attendance, including quite a few convention rarities: Cassandra Peterson, Christina Ricci, Neve Campbell, Meatloaf, Christopher Lloyd, Fairuza Balk, Doug Jones, Devon Sawa just to name a few. Check out the website for the full lineup and list of panels and events.

Jordan Peele’s latest and much anticipated film, Us premiered at SXSW and so far it sounds like it’s as wonderful as everyone hoped it would be. Trying my best to stay away from much other than that until it’s wide released later this month (March 22nd).

That’s all for now, creeps! Maybe next week’s installment will come in video format.
