June 29th + 30th the Santa Monica Pier is transforming into Hawkins, circa 1985. To ring in the new season, the pier will have a Scoops Ahoy popup, Demogorgon Curiosity House, Hawkins High cheerleaders, 80s cover bands, food eating contests, magicians, games, a dunking booth with a strange twist, and other summer carnival goodness. The ferris wheel and arcade will be themed for the event as well.
